Fresh seafood, sun-ripened produce, and olive oil are the cornerstones of Dalmatian cuisine, with must-try dishes like black risotto, octopus salad, and peka (a slow-cooked dish prepared under an iron bell).
Dalmatian wines are equally distinctive, featuring indigenous grape varieties like Pošip (a crisp white) and Babić (a bold red). Notably, the Zinfandel grape, known worldwide, actually traces its origins to the town of Kaštela, just 40 minutes from Vinišče.
